It's all about the looks

The PING G425SFT driver and the G425Max Max are very difficult to distinguish at address [review HERE]. Both come with matte black crowns. While the form is slightly more conical than round, it does not fall into triangular territory. PING's method of drawing-biased drivers doesn't look excessively asymmetrical.

G425 SFT has a sole that is similar to Max. But with one significant difference. SFT drivers have a weight set towards the heel, rather than an adjustable weight to the rear.

Who Is It Best for

The Ping G425SFT driver is the best choice for wealthy golfers who want to immediately see a decrease in right-side misses. SFT is a great driver that will allow you to hit the ball farther left. Are you looking for improvement in your game? By buying a $500 driver? It is more cost-effective to spend the $500 on five PGA professional lessons. This will allow you to better your golf swing or improve your impact position. But, I'm not qualified to give my opinion. I just write golf articles.

Because anyone who is not on a strict budget should avoid looking at new releases like the Ping G425 SFT, I refer to them as "wealthy". There are far too many excellent draw-biased driver options on the market, and they cost far less. To start with, why not just go with the earlier SFT releases? It's an easy and cost-effective way to save several hundred dollars. But, even better is to just work on your swing rather than worrying about the draw-biased driver. Swinging is cheap, practical and really helpful. Buying a $500+ driver however is not.

More Value Alternatives Typically, it took me a while to identify the BEST value club alternative. I look at e. Bay sold listings. I look at previous models. I look at similar models from other brands. Many reviews were written to help me understand the differences between different drivers. However, I found this too straightforward. This was far too easy.

The Ping G425 SFT driver is not available. Instead, get the Ping G400 FFT driver. This will save you a lot of money. Ping G400 SFT G425 STFT and Ping G400 SFT SFT look almost the same, except for two small things: twenty five (2) the paint job and three (3) the cost. The performance differences between them are not noticeable in long-term. I would put my entire money into it.

The Ping G425 SFT is selling for $530 + tax + shipping. Ping G400SFT sells for $200, maybe plus tax. It comes in good condition and ships free. My decision is easy. You think so?

This article contains almost 1000 words. I consider this my normal stopping point. It's done. Thanks for looking!

Adjustability

Much of the adjustability in these models has been touched on in the above section, but I'd like to mention the hosel adjustability that Ping title "Trajectory Tuning 2.0".

You can adjust the head loft as per most manufacturers by taking the head off and moving it to a different position on your hosel. A Ping allows for movement up to 1.5 degrees lower or higher.

It is important to note that Ping has the unique ability to set a flat lie angle, with either neutral loft, +1 loft or -1 loft. This benefit isn't just for shorter golfers as I am, it benefits all who wish to optimize their launch conditions and reduce spin loft.

Nearly because I use the Sure. Titleist offers flat- and even upright fitting hosel adjustments. These settings can be adjusted to automatically alter the loft, face angle, or both.

The Golf Insider Verdict: Ping G425 driver reviews I could go on about the quality of this new Ping G425 range Drivers. The truth is that the verdict on this driver is simple. You get a driver that is exceptional in performance and offers fitting options to suit every player at an excellent price.

Ping G425 Max has exceptional distance and forgiveness. SFT drivers can be very helpful for players who are struggling to get a fair slice.

Next time you are looking to upgrade, I highly recommend giving the Ping G425 drivers a try.

How do you define that phrase?

This is because PING doesn't release new drivers that will cause a flood of wholesale changes.

PING has a reputation for producing the very best drivers and doesn't intend to try to recreate the wheel.

* PING G425 drivers — FIRST LOOK

G425 is the latest addition to the G400/G410 family. The brand will continue to stick with its proven engineering principles by effectively building on the same innovative designs and technologies that won them such widespread acclaim.

The CG Shifter, undoubtedly, is this tech's standout. The massive, mobile tungsten weight is placed to the rear end of the club's sole. This results in an identical low-and-back CG (centre gravity).

Complete comparison: PingG425 Lst., Sft. And Max Driver Review

Brandon It could be argued that Ping doesn't do really do 'new'… But what they do offer is consistency both in their philosophy and their club's performance. Ping isn't about breaking something that works or reinventing the wheel. They prefer to build on existing technologies slowly and steadily, rather than reinvent the wheel.

G425 drivers with LST, SFT, or Max. This combination is a mix of existing technology as well as some subtle tweaks. Do you think it works? It works! Each driver was designed to be used by a unique golfer. See our entire Ping G425 driver evaluation below.

How to Learn About The Ping G425 Drivers

Ping G425 are the most recent iteration in its G-series. Ping G's 2016 debut was the beginning of it all. Ping began the journey with the 2016 PingG driver. Each year Ping improves, tweaks, and adjusts their clubs' performance, while always keeping the basic concept in mind. You can expect a mixture of power and distance with some forgiveness, when you most need it.

When we are faced with a lengthy par five, the 'big stick in our hand' is all that stands between us and forgiveness. It's an established fact.

There will be a couple of things you'll notice that's a little bit different this year in the drivers. Notice that I said slightly. Ping has been a good sport about being restrained and not allowing the golf industry to add more buzzwords or gimmicks.

Imagine you have been playing with Ping drivers for at least 5 years. There are a couple of things you will recognize, and some improvements that could make the Ping driver a real favorite this year.

Ping G425 MAX, one of the most all-around Ping drivers, is my first topic. We'll then move on to more detailed LST and FFT drivers.

Let's jump right in… G425 Maxi Driver Review: The Ping G425 Basic Version is the vanilla version of this 3-driver series.

You can't. 'Vanilla' doesn't do the club justice. There are many features in this club that make it a fantastic whole.

A good choice for players who have a medium to high handicap and are interested in some distance. You may also want to be more consistent on the fairway with your Ping G425 Max. The Ping G425 Max has lots of forgiveness and allows you to tweak your shot by using adjustable weights or hosel.

The clubhead is the same size, boasting an eye-watering 460cc head. This ball is still unmissable.

The T9S T9S forged face, turbulator line, dragonfly structure and internal ribbing will all still be there.

Who is The Driver of the Ping G425 Sft?

The Ping G425 SFT would be ideally suited for a player who has consistency… In hitting it right, always. Remember, it adds 25 yards of right-to-left bias. That's a lot. G425 Max may be the better option if your normal shot is straight and with the occasional leak.

We now have the last model of our line-up, G425LST Driver Review. LST… Low-Spin Trajectory. There's something in these three letters that could hint as to the identity of this driver.

Have I saved the best until last?

That all depends on the type of player you want and your goals.

While the G425 Max was intended for those who needed forgiveness or a hand in helping others, the Ping G425LST offers a more mature club where you can just get on with your life, whether it's for good or bad.

Many of the same great features can be found in the Max and SFT are shared by it. This includes a precision forged face, a highly aerodynamic design (complete with turbulators), and an adjustable hosel.

However, there are some things that you are going to want to be aware of.

The G425 Max is a very user-friendly car. The G425 MAX's incredibly deep CG is due to the massive moveable back weight. Its stratospheric MOI readings are a testament to its forgiving nature. It is the most accommodating driver I've ever seen. Jan 11, 2021

Straight-Flight Technology designed the SFT (draw-biased SFT) model for bringing shots back to line. To enhance right-to left shot bends (RH golfers), a 23-gram fixed weight in tungsten shifts the CG closer towards the heel than the G425Max.
