Pros: Classic looking irons with big forgiveness and hot faces that add distance through the set.
Cons: Although the bag looks fantastic, some may find it too bright to use at addresses.
Bottom Line: These irons offer game-improvement-like performance hidden deep inside a classic, compact design. Speed. Pocket with Thru. Slot Technology is able to generate slightly faster and more consistent ball speeds across your face. This allows you to get more distance, even with mishits. Although the SLDR irons have been cast, they aren't distracting.

Taylormade Sldr Irons Review
In case you haven't noticed, TaylorMade has been SLDR-ing most things in their range, so it was only a matter of time before the irons came in for the treatment.
People mistakenly assume that SLDR simply means "slider", and they aren't allowed to use the term as a name for their brand because someone else holds it. This was clever marketing since the original SLDR driver also had a slidingweight in his sole.
SLDR was more of a brand than a name. The SLDR fairways SLDR mixed cars were released without taking any money out of your pocket.
The SLDR golf irons will slide the money and also through the turf. So are the golfing public going to buy into these too?
They stand out visually in the TaylorMade Tour Preferred Irons TaylorMade Speedblade Irons' matt silver range because of their shiny chrome finish.
However if you want to see this for yourself you may struggle to do so unless you head to a TaylorMade Tuned Performance Centre, as this is the only place you can get them.
For the fitting, I went to Kingsfield in central Scotland near Linlithgow to see the irons in person and learn what makes them different from other TaylorMade models.

Yes. All irons which help novices or beginners hit better and forgive more could be considered "game improvement irons." The Speed. Speed Pocket technology in blade irons can help you with launch angle and ball flight.
The Speed Pocket is a Taylor accessory that helps to keep the iron shot thin for most mid-to high handicappers. Made Speedblades is intended to remedy this.
