Design:
The SpeedZone club head offers two color design options in a preset 9 or 10.5 degree loft:
This is the Black with Yellow Color Accents. It has a shiny polished finish.
Black, with white accents and a matte finish
We tried the 10.5 preset club loft. You have 8 options for club launch: 10.5 standard, 10.5 standard, 11.5 Standard, 11.5 Standard, 11.5 Draw, 12.0 Standard, 11.5 Standard, 11.5 Standart, 11.5 standart, 11.5 Stealth, 11.5 Stall, 11.5 Stroke, 11.5 STANDARD, 11.5 draw, 12.0 standard, 9.0, 9.5, and 9 9.5. I tried many settings but the one that worked best was the standard 10.5 setting. It’s great that you can quickly alter the setting on the course.
SpeedZone drivers have two weights which can be moved to customize their launch angle. Although the club comes pre-set with a 14g weight for forward and a 2g back setting, these can easily be swapped. I found a noticeable difference in the increased launch angle by moving the 14g weight to the back setting, but preferred the preset weighting for the lower launch angle and additional distance. The club should have additional weights available that can be added to it. The weights of the SpeedZone 2020 driver are not compatible with the Cobra King Speedback’s 2019 driver. Cobra King requires that any weights be ordered from their website for $25. The design features of the 2019 Cobra King Speedback driver are intended to improve club head speed. The most notable (and my favorite) feature is the milled infinity club face that wraps around the entire face of the club. It is designed to improve the face’s milled area by 95%, and create a greater sweet spot. It also protects the club from miss-hits which are either too close to or below the ball.
Additionally, there are four stock shaft options available from the club, ranging in stiffness from Extra Stiff up to Lite. The club offers many shaft options, allowing golfers to select the best flex and weight.
The great Arnold Palmer summed up golf perfectly in his quote “Golf is a game of inches. You must have 6 inches between your ears. That’s why it is important to find a golf club that will give you the confidence and ability to play hard on the fairway. Cobra King SpeedZone exudes confidence with its feel, weight and appearance. The club’s overall look is fantastic. Also, I find the King Cobra logo in the sweet spot above my face gives me extra confidence every time I walk up to the ball or set the club back behind the tee.

COBRA Golf KING SPEDZONE was one driver that I was looking forward to using in 2020. In October, I first saw the driver in person at an Ontario industry event in Kitchener. At the time, I salivated in anticipation of what might be, based on the cosmetics of this driver. Would it live up to my expectations?
At the 2020 PGA Show Orlando, Florida that was a question which I would have responded to. Here is my review of the COBRA Golf KING SPEEDZONE driver based on the first impressions that it gave me at Demo Day at Orange County National Golf Resort and Lodge.
For 2020, the Set-Up COBRA COBRA Golf SPEEDZONE(SZ) drivers will come in two versions that will appeal to players looking for new golf drivers. COBRA Golf will offer both a standard KING SPEDZONE (SZ) and an XTREME KING SPEEDZONE (King SPEEDZONE III). Both drivers share the same chassis. However, they have some distinct differences. Let’s first look at the differences between them.
COBRA Golf says that their king speedone drivers are the best and longest drivers they’ve ever made. This driver’s look is inspired from motorsports. This inspiration can be seen by simply looking at the dual exhaust located inside the rear end of the trailing edge. The KING SZ drivers feature a CNC-milled face like we first saw in 2018 with that year’s KING F8. It’s just that the face features a twist or, should I say, an infinite symbol. This sign signifies “no limits”, or “endless”.

The “T-Bar Chassis” was introduced this year. The T-Bar Chassis is a section of the interior part that runs from the leading edge all of the way to the trailing edge. The cross-member COBRA Golf R&D created a stronger frame which improved the durability and feel of the KING SZ Driver.
Would you enjoy the carbon fiber look? You might like the appearance of carbon fiber. The KING ZZ is equipped with a 360 Carbon Wrap. 360 Carbon Wrap wraps a staggering 50% of the body. COBRA Golf moved a remarkable 25-grams of excess weight through the use of carbon fiber. This is the ultimate luxury of golf club design. This allowed engineers to design a driver with plenty of forgiveness by moving the weight.
Can The Cobra Speedzone Be a Good Driver?
Cobra appears to have achieved its goal of having a CNC-milled face. This gives the driver of the KING SPEEDSONE a remarkable balance between power and consistency. I am sure this driver will be a hit with my customers because of its appealing looks and adjustable capabilities.
What is the Cobra Speedzone Driver’s tolerance?
This club head is extremely flexible and forgiving. It can be felt in the club head and back. You can feel the driver’s stability even when the ball isn’t in the centre of the head. With sound and feel as pleasing as this, the Cobra Speedzone driver is bound to be a favorite this season.

Rickie Foller and DeChambeau currently use the Cobra King Speedzone. Both have chosen the standard head. It features a 460cc, pear-shaped profile, and more adjustable options. Speedzone has the most attractive profile while still providing high performance. Speedzone Xtreme can be used by those looking for a more stable and forgiving player.
