Ping Putters Review

Ping Anser4 Putter

The Premium Look matches the Performance – Ping’s most recent putter range is literally called the 2021 Putters. This should be compared with other 2021 putters on the list.

They are able to perform on the course, despite their somewhat silly name. Twelve models are available. Anser 4 is the standout model for those who like a more blade-like shape and have an extremely strong, arced putt.

Although the size of the item is very small, the solid white line runs through the back. It is perfect for seeing the sightline. The hosel is short and slanty which really suits our eyes.

You will also feel incredibly soft against your face, while it maintains an excellent speed for all lengths. It is the perfect combination for those who prefer a gentle feeling on their face.

      Ping Fetch Putter

The new sightline allows for more accuracy when lining up the putts.

The hole in the bottom is the reason it’s called Fetch. It can be used to grab the ball directly from the ground instead of having to bend down.

This is both an essential part of the design and a very useful tool. Below is the Heppler Fetch model. You can clearly see that this address is visible. This was something Ping removed in order to reduce weight and improve the MOI.

This has created an altogether more appealing look from address as well as a more stable putter. Ping has also added a fantastic sight line at the top that helps you aim and strike the ball. We think it is our most outstanding mallet of the 2021 range.

      Ping Heppler Fetch Putter

This will help to maintain consistency. Lee Westwood used the Heppler as well as the Sigma Fetch, depending on how fast the greens were. The hole’s centre cut-out makes it easy to grab the ball.

This will generally suit a straight stoke and has a high forgiveness which should help with your long putting.

      Ping Heppler Ketsch Putter

+ Excellent for alignment and strokes – This putter is not the most expensive. It is also the only one in the Heppler nine-strong family to have three alignment lines, which help frame the ball. This mallet is more flexible than the Vault 2.0 Ketsch due to its steel-alarm composition. This mallet works well with a straight, slight arc stroke.

      Ping Tyne 40 4 Putter

+ The iconic, tour-proven Tyne shape is hard to distinguish from the other Tyne models. We are currently reviewing the Ping 2021 range, which includes the Tyne, the most popular of all the Ping putters.

This putter is ideal if you don’t like using a much smaller blade head, but want a putter that supports a strongly arced putting stroke.

Tyne is equipped with a tungsten-weight heel and a steel-weight toe. They also provide the Tyne with a weighting system for the toe.

You can also use the Tyne fang to guide you in lining up your ball on the green. This provides an excellent cue at address and is much more accurate than a regular blade. We’d recommend this putter if you are after a putter with the stability of a mallet and have a strong arc in your putting stroke.

Ping Sigma 2 Valor 400 Putter

It is sturdy in both looks and weight. It has been weighed 50 grams at the buttend to promote a pendulum-like stroke. This can be used for either stroke type. If you prefer a more simple appearance to your putter, this will work.

      Ping Sigma 2, Anser Putter

+ Looks amazing and guaranteed to inspire – Not as forgiving as many so you’ll need a tidy stroke The Anser has always been crucial to the Ping family – the model turned 50 in 2016 – and this is the Sigma 2 version. It features the classic heel-toe ballast, which is so pleasant on the eyes that it’s always a joy. The alignment line sees you set up to the ball easily and, while it might not boast huge forgiveness, that’s not really why you’d be giving this a go.

As one would expect from any PING putter collection, the 2021 series includes three timeless Anser models. Three mid mallets are included and five more mallets make up the balance. Some shapes will be familiar but the Tyne 4 (shown above) is the only one that has not been redesigned from the Heppler Collection [full article HERE]. Although the Fetch might sound familiar, the 2021 model has a cover that covers the ball retrieving cutout. This gives it an entirely new look.

The 2021 series putters feature a black finish, a strong white alignment and an easy-to-read address. A strip of red at the bottom edge of the insert really pops against the black face. It is accentuated by the distinctive soles and paws of the putters. As usual, the high-quality PING headcovers in the bag are attractive and of excellent quality.

      What’S It All About?

Dual-Durometer inserts are the most important feature in the new range. They combine a Pebax layer on one side and a harder back layer made from a stronger material on another.

This gives the putter a smooth feel when you are playing short holes and allows for greater distance control with longer shots. Dual-Durometer’s face has a deeper, uniform groove to help roll and ensure consistency in strike.

The putters were also made a lot more tolerant by optimizing the CG and increasing MOI due to varying tungsten-aluminum densities. This weight is visible on the Anser model’s heel and toe.

The distance between the tungsten weights is important for drivers. This will ensure that the driver’s head remains stable and balanced during strokes and impacts. It can be used to assist poor strikes or face manipulation.

There are 11 new models in the new range that fall into three different categories: Blade (Anser, Anser 2, Anser 4), Mid Mallet (Kushin 4, DS 72, CA 70, Tyne 4), and Mallet (Fetch, Tyne C, Oslo H, Harwood).

Each putter is available in three shaft lengths: 33, 34, and 35 inches with an adjustable shaft available for an extra PS50 – see my Ping Heppler review for more information on this. Different weights of grips are offered, from the PP58 grip, Tiger Woods uses to his PP58 paddle and the PP60 pistol.

Ping Putters Review – Soft, Reliable Performance and Stability for Every Golfer

PING has been a world leader when it comes to putters ever since Karsten Solheim first developed the revolutionary Anser. PING has continued to work hard on creating putters of high performance for every player since then. PING’s 2021 putter range includes 12 models from blades to middle-mallets and larger ones to suit all golfers.

TGW’s review crew takes you into the technology and puts it to the test.

      Are Ping Heppler Putters Good?

They have excellent finishes that give the putters an extremely high finish look. Additionally, I was able to focus on the Anser 2 and get some really good results thanks to the copper topline. The head shapes found in this line are familiar to all PING enthusiasts, with two exceptions.

What Ping Putters Are Worth A Lot Of Money?

PING is known for its 69BC, 69BC Croquet, and 702BC models. The 69BC has a very different shaft angle from the 69BC Croquet. The shaft on the latter curves backward while its counterpart goes straight down. A 69BC usually sells for about $750, or $850.

How can I pick a Ping Putter?

The choice of the best ping putter will depend on your personal preferences. It is important to take into account many aspects when picking a putter. It is important to consider your length, weight, head, and feel. But, it’s also crucial that you choose something you are comfortable with and you don’t mind using on a daily basis.
