Taylormade Sim And Sim Max Drivers Review

The drivers are beautiful. As you can see, there was no shortage of effort to get everything right. It's time to get rid of the red, and bring in the blue. The crown of the head has been given a grey-and-chalk white finish instead of white and black.

It has many things, and I like the framing that is placed on the crown for alignment. A web design is available on both the crown and SIM, which was created by the Hosel. Apart from the slight colour-scheme tweak, it's all very much similar to the M drivers of the past, until you look underneath the club…

The technology affecting the shape is now and TaylorMade has worked hard to make it happen. The bottom of the club looks like a capital T with the Inertia Generator bulking out the back of the head with space cut out either side of the T. You can really see the difference when looking behind somebody as they address the ball.

Surprisingly, SIM heads look smaller than models. The SIM head's height is also much lower than model. The whole head seems a lot shallower and therefore looks flatter, however the face height increases throughout the range.

In addition to sliding weight technology, the SIM offers a different type of driver than the two others. This explains why the SIM comes in at PS479, and the rest of them come in at PS449.

The SIM Max D model has divergent top-line masking, which makes the driver look more open at address than it actually is, helping golfers close the face at impact.

TaylorMade is truly the modern-day new manufacturer noise'. It's even called the TaylorMade sound. It is solider than ever before, and sounds more like a dull whack than a loud ping sound. I liked the SIM's feel and sound.

Taylormade Sim Driver Verdict

Before this review began, I expected the SIM to be my model. However, dare we say it, it accomplished what it stated too well. For my slower swing speed, the spin would sometimes fall too far.

However where the SIM Max really impressed me was when I didn't catch one true. My distance was never affected by a spinning shot at over 3000 rpm.

I was surprised that this middle driver could perform at such a high level without needing to modify settings for spin to decrease. Without affecting spin, the Inertia Generator was certainly a benefit.

However, it was extremely difficult to really notice an increase in swing speed due to the shape of the head and the angle at which the Inertia Generator is placed. I still haven't been convinced of the effectiveness of 20° angle inertia-generator. Yes, it may be proven in a TaylorMade lab or when DJ is swinging the club "in the slot", but let's be honest not everybody swings it perfectly every time so whether we're all going to get the benefits it promises I'll leave up to you.

TaylorMade launches the TaylorMade SIM driver family for 2020. There is first the low spinning SIM, followed by a faster spinning SIM Max Max. Finally there's a SIM Max D Head to draw the ball.

It has been seen that tour players use all three SIM drivers.

Which Reviews Are There?

SIM receives some of the most high-rated Taylors. Given the size of the sample, it was a very capable driver. You get a score of 5/5 from Global Golf, 4.9/5 at Amazon, and a stunning 4.8/5 (over 200 reviews) on the official TM web site.

Professional critics and site reviewers have also given it very high marks. It earned a gold medal on the 2020 Golf Digest Hot List.

Where Should You Buy The Sim Driver Online?

Other than Taylor.com, here are some other recommendations. Made has only the most up-to-date equipment models.

Global Golf, the authorized pre-owned Taylor supplier. You can also find new or used golf clubs. The company offers many appealing deals and policies to make the buying process easy.

Another is e. Bay. You can find great deals on used and new golf equipment at e. Bay.

As a side note, I don't advise buying it from Amazon. Their service is not specialized in golf equipment, and they do not have an easy purchasing or support system.

Would I Use It?

Absolutely. Tomorrow, I will be carrying the SIM Max driver. Its stunning looks and its ability to forgive and travel far are well matched by the numbers.

This model will work for all golfers, in my opinion and across the whole SIM driver range Taylor. It is a remarkable collection of models from Made that I think will perform well in 2020, both on tour or on the Amateur Market.

Taylormade Sim Driver Review – Game-Changing Shape

Paul Club Reviews Golf Product Review No Comments I'm going to take a look at TaylorMade's SIM driver in this review.

SIM expands on the M5, the Speed Injected Twist Face and features an entirely new asymmetric sole.

It combines the improved shape and a newly designed Inertia Generation to enhance aerodynamics while increasing speed at the most critical part of the swing.

The SIM certainly talks a big game, but how does it actually perform? Comparing it with the previous versions of this SIM, how does it perform? Are you sure it is worth the effort?

These are the things I plan to cover in my review.
