MAX driver head, one of three MAVRIK MAVRIK heads is the “biggest”. Because it technically has 460 cc legal limit, I used quotation marks. The head design however makes it appear bigger.
At the address it is straight with a crown that stretches down to the turf. It has a strong, confident appearance. The Max is not heavy but it’s still manageable. The MAVRIK standard represents a major departure from Epic Flash. However, the Max has a very similar look to Callaway’s prior generation of drivers.
Orange details: People seem to love or loathe it. It is a great product. However, Matt’s review of the MAVRIKSub Zero showed that it can be customized to your liking.

A Callaway MAVRIK MAX driver is being discussed by one of our fitters. He said, “Max will be a phenomenal line-up in this year’s lineup.” Other fitters (and their clients) have also been impressed at the new sound. Its shape impressed the fitters, one of whom said it is the “best Callaway head” for many years.
Callaway Flash Face SS20 Technology was praised by one Fitter. Each model has its own face, which he said is designed to aid different kinds of misses. He stated that “we can fit every golfer into a MAVRIK driver.”

Distance
For this review, it might be best to compare the MAVRIK Premium driver with the standard model.
Not surprising, I found that the length of the MAVRIK MAX was a little shorter than that of the Standard. Drivers that are designed to achieve high MOI or forgiveness tend to produce more spin.
Golfers who have struggled with the slice in the past will likely be able to gain significant distance. This is because draws tend to go farther than fades, and because you can add a draw bias to the MAX, your shots will take on more of a draw shape.
Distance seems to be comparable with that of the Rogue previous generation driver. This is not bad.

Mavrik Max becomes a reality. This driver was a favorite during GOLF’s player test. He is extremely forgiving and draws well. An AI-designed Flash Face SS20 architecture made out of exotic FS2S-titanium (six grams lighter than traditional materials) highlights his unique personality. Aerodynamic crowns and JailBreak Technology are paired with this red-hot driver to increase ball speed, and improve overall efficiency. With weight ports located in the heel or back of the sole it is possible to maximize the slice-busting technology and get more forgiveness depending on the position you place the 14-gram weight. Landing near the top in multiple performance categories in year one of production establishes Mavrik Max as a legitimate force in the driver category. While the club was more than a mile per annum faster than average ball speed, it also placed near the top in accuracy. This is the type of combination that will appeal to many handicappers, particularly those who are fighting for their slice.
ClubTester’s view (16-hdcp), “My slice suddenly vanished as my poor toes missed.” It almost feels as if you are cheating.
Robot’s view: A high level of swing speed will result in a higher ball speed, draw bias and excellent accuracy. You can expect slower swingers to experience more draw bias and carry.
Callaway Epic Max Vs Mavrik Max Driver Review & Comparison
Callaway is known for offering the “max” version of almost all of their drivers. Max is a bit more than the standard version. It means that you have more forgiving, launch height, and other features.
It is evident that the Mavrik Max LS as well the Epic Max LS, which were designed for higher to middle handicappers seeking more consistency in their play and forgiveness.
If either one of these drivers is appealing to you, then you might be curious about the Max siblings.
You may have to make a difficult choice because both feature the same technologies. Here’s a comparison to make your choice easier.
Mavrik Max Vs Epic Max Ls Overview The crux of both the Epic Max LS and the Mavrik Max is to provide more ball speed and forgiveness. These are the two main points we can attest.
Both the Mavrik Max and the Epic Max LS produced true ball flight even on low-face shots.
Flash Face is the Flash Face design. It is an essentially curvature that curves the face. This helps to keep the spin off of your tee.
Evaluation
NEW FEATURES. Callaway had over 15,000 face designs tested in the design of last year’s Epic Flash. Callaway decided to make this year’s Mavrik line more efficient. Three new drivers were introduced by the company: the Mavrik, MavrikSub Zero, and the Mavrik max. They used their Flash Face SS20 architecture. It features a stronger but lighter FS2S Titanium for a slimmer face without compromising ball speed. A new internal rib system dulls vibration and amplifies the desired “feel” at impact.
DEFINING FEATURES. Callaway modified the aerodynamics for the Mavrik club head model, based on last year’s Epic Flash drivers models. The Jailbreak technology, which has two bars interconnected between the crown and sole to increase ball speed — is still in Mavrik. An additional feather-lite triaxial carbon crown elevates the moment of inertia and general forgiveness.
STABILITY AND WEAKNESSES The Max (my preferred model) is considered the most forgiving with interchangeable weights in the sole to balance out forgiveness with your ability to draw. Because I am unable to draw, all my weight is on forgiveness.
COST AND Value: Available at 500 dollars, the Mavrik three-man team improves everything in Epic Flash. Great. But is it worth $500? Pebble Beach could be played every day. You would spend $182,500 on one-year. It will only cost you $500 to buy one Mavrik driver for $500 and then use it for all 365 rounds. That’s quite a bargain.
You can’t say that Epic Flash drivers were the only ones you owned last year. Given how far Callaway’s driver technology has come in just the past two years, I’m banking on next year’s model being even better.
However, you can still try the Callaway drivers if your current driver is not available or you haven’t tried them out yet. See the results for yourself. More than 400 driving hours later, I can confidently say that I’ve never been so happy with a driver. Having been fitted with the right shaft, right driver head and right grip, I’m ready to hit bombs like Phil Mickelson but right-handed — and hopefully I’ll land in more fairways.

Forgiveness. Although the Mavrik Maxim is clearly the more forgiving driver, there are some outstanding features in all of these clubs that can make them more flexible. Callaway Mavrik series revolves around speed. They are obsessed with speed because it helps them give away distance.
Which Is Better Taylormade Sim Max Or Callaway Mavrik Max?
Sim Max’s slimmer face makes them attractive for players who have faster swing speeds. Callaway Mavrik Max’s have a lower loft, making them less valuable for players who swing slower. While the Sim Max’s have a better feel, the Mavrik’s weighting and CG are more precise which makes them better for game improvement.
