Ping G400 was the most sought-after driver on the market in 2008. Ping has released a driver this year that combines the level of forgiveness you expect from Ping with the adjustability that you would find in top-performing drivers – The Ping G410 Plus Driver.

Bubba Watson has been enjoying PING’s G410 driver since his arrival. Since he put it in the bag, his accuracy on the tee is greatly improved. GolfMagic HQ saw the G410 Plus driver and it immediately made us swoon. There were many great things we had read about the large stick.

G410 Plus is the first driver to feature a removable 16g tungsten weight at the back. You can slide the weight to a draw or fade setting which will alter your shot shape by ten yards in the chosen setting. The best thing about PING drivers is their forgiveness. Therefore, the brand decided to make it adjustable. PING has placed the weight in the back of this clubhead, to ensure that the MOI is high. That way you get the same forgiveness as when you buy a PING driver. GolfMagic’s Jack Seddon test the PINGG410 Plus at Farleigh Golf Club.

However, I will let you see this ONE video for today… I know that I am going to love you.

Okay, today’s review will be of the Ping G410 Plus. This review isn’t your standard. This review is not about how the product feels, looks, and my own opinion.

We are going to dive into the science of the club head, and discuss the actual technology that made this the technologically most advanced driver available.

You won’t find a better driver than him. The science behind this driver is what we’ll be talking about.

So, let’s die right into it. What I did is I interviewed some of the engineers from Ping, and full disclosure, I’m Brand Ambassador for Ping, so I am biased. These clubs appeal to my heart.

Bottom line

Ping offers quality and superior performance. Ping focuses on engineering and forgiveness. This is why it’s worth a try. The shaft I received was much shorter than the one that I had used before, so it was a few swings until my distance from the ball was comfortable. You can really feel the forgiveness and power of this club after I have gotten my distance down.

If you hit the club with the clubface in front of you, the “tramponline,” effect will be visible on the ball. It’s possible to actually feel the ball leave the club. The most remarkable thing about this club was not its well-struck balls. It was my “mishits”, which really made me love it. Even with balls I hit poorly, my dispersion was not bad and still had plenty of carry.

It became obvious to me that my side spin was significantly lower than my original driver after I started playing this club. A miss is much more likely to occur if there’s too much side spin. This club allows you to miss the shot and still make it in the fairway. Importantly, misses could keep you out the woods as well as the penalty area. This will not eliminate these issues but I was able to see a significant improvement in my driving precision in the few weeks after my purchase.

The biggest benefit that I have received from the Ping G410 Plus men’s driver is that I have eliminated the right side of the golf course with this driver. I used to miss on both the left and the right side of the fairway in the past. It was impossible for me to hit the ball from any tee box. My driver helped me to lower the weight until it reached the Fade position. I feel confident that I can hit the ball down or draw the ball. It took a little bit of time to get used to, but being confident with a driver in your hand is powerful, and it will really help you lower your scores. It may look strange to some, but this arrangement has been great for my game.

It also seems to hold up well against the competition. Ideally, the sliding weight seems to increase shot bias but seems to have no impact on forgiveness.

Even though the driver was not launched until 2019, it still remains an outstanding driver in Ping Golf’s lineup. We hope you enjoyed this review. Keep checking our site often to see the most recent updates regarding the latest products, training aids, gadgets, and golf equipment.
