Take a look

From address, the 0211 driver is hard to distinguish from the 0811 X Proto driver [review HERE ]. Although there are some differences in the shape and the size of the Hybrid Crown Construction, they share the dominant feature. It is rounder than triangular. The head, which measures 460 cm, seems compact.

When you flip the driver over, you’ll see the 0211 is distinct from other PXG drivers. PXG was known for its many movable weights. But the 0211 doesn’t have as many. All the focus here is on the silver “PXG” branding in the center of the sole.

This is also an instance where the stock headcover is worth mentioning. The denim-like material is something I’ve never seen before, and it’s an eye-catcher. PXG added a magnet (QuickStick Cart Technology) to the cover so it can be stuck on your cart as you go.

Performance

Fine tuning was the main focus of many previous PXG driver models. The Proto driver comes in two versions: one for upward and one downward angles. In the past, there were tons of weights that could be moved. 0211 keeps it simple: one model to help everyone smash longer drives.

Of course ball speed is key. High MOI and a titanium face make the 0211 driver incredibly fast. It is an extremely stable driver. The ball speeds were consistent when I held the ball close to the center of my face.

That stability also shows up in how straight the 0211 is. It is not always possible to have a proper shaft fit. I did this test with the HZRDUS Yellow [review HERE] and this head helps minimize curves in your drives. If you square the face at impact, the odds are strongly in your favor that your ball will be in the fairway, even if you mishit it.

Launching and spinning together is key to the 0211 driver’s success with a broad range of players. The deep and low CG allows this driver to launch at a high window. The CG is also helpful in keeping spin within a moderately low range. I like this CG and it works great for those with lower spin or who are unable to lop off a few rpm.

Pxg Driver Review: Is The New Pxg 0811X Better Than It’S Predecessor?

Blake Doll, Breaking Eighty contributor, wrote this PXG Driver Review.

Parsons eXtreme Golf is one the hottest brands in golf. They have risen to the top of golf club manufacturing.

Bob Parsons is the founder and owner of the club. He’s a straight-shooting Texan businessman.

Their irons are some of, if not the very best in the game. Many members have fallen in love with the Eighty Club and were able to stay fit.

But, I still wanted to find out how PXGs breakthrough technology works for the long-game…the driver.

I haven’t spoken with nearly as many people that have been playing their second generation driver (the PXG0811X).

It’s a great tool, so I have been using it and realized that it was time to share the results with you.

Pxg On The Market Now

PXG 0811’s original driver was expensive for its poor performance. You can see that they have reacted to the market, and that the 0811 X GEN2 is a worthy contender to all the major releases.

Don’t get me wrong, spending more than $500 on a driver is a lot of money to invest. Writing reviews for driver releases is something I do. It’s a bad idea to blindly listen to all the claims made by every OEM. Before you decide to buy a driver you need to first try them. I’ve learned a lot about clubfitting, and I know for a fact that there is no such thing as the best driver for all golfers. Golfers will have different results based on the unique characteristics of each design (most notably the center of gravity).

OK, rant over. Now, back to PXG.

The 0811 X GEN2 driver is a powerful one. Many people will see an improvement in their ball speed, launch conditions, and forgiveness. You won’t be a new golfer, but the 0811 X GEN2 is a nice step forward.

What Pxg Say About The 0811X Gen2 Driver:

Hot Rod Technology is used in the PXG0811 X GEN2 driver to imitate American muscle cars.

The unique carbon-fiber crown and weight-forward design of the golf club heads support low spin performance. They also provide incredible distance and ball speed.

“Nine weights provide a significant amount of moveable mass in the golf club head that can be easily adjusted to influence head weight, spin and bias.

Adjustable Hosels can adjust the loft (+/-) 11/2 degrees to optimize the trajectory. A weight-forward design permits a low CG position of approximately 0.160 below that of the neutral axis. This ensures low spin performance that improves both accuracy and distance.

Review of the Pxg 0811X Generation 2 Driver

PXG has been a blizzard on the golf market since they launched, shaking things up with unique technologies, distinctive marketing and much higher prices than the accepted norm. You will find all information about the driver in the review of PXG 0811xGen 2.

PXG’s Irons made a huge difference, providing forgiveness, feeling, and power other irons couldn’t match. Their first two lines of woods however, have not been great. Not great. And when you’re paying PXG prices, you demand greatness. PXG 0811x was more spinny than the 0811 driver. The Fairway hybrids and woods are stronger than the 0811x driver, while the PXG 0811x had a narrow sweet spot to get the most out of the driver. However the brand’s new 0811XGen 2 woods is a major game changer for Arizona. It is a great choice not only for its performance, as it is, but also because of the incredible price. PS550 is the RRP, which brings it back to the fold. Although it remains the most popular mainstream driver, the price is only slightly higher than those of TaylorMade or Callaway. This makes it an interesting contender.

What sets The Pxg0811XGen 2 apart from the rest?

This review focuses on the PXG0811x Gen 2 driver and what it offers that sets it apart from other models. Every head has a Variable Face Technology which can increase the ball speed on missed hits. The clubhead’s sound and feel are fine tuned by the lightweight material. However, it doesn’t add too much weight. There are 2 drivers included in the range. O811x, a low-spin design, is the O811XF. The 0811XF has extra forgiveness. Matching fairway woods are available as well as hybrids. Our review of the PXG 0811x Gen 2 showed that it has a deeper face, and is a slightly squatter model from front to back. The X sports a lightweight design that allows for both low spin speed and ball speed. Nine interchangeable weights allow for shot shape and trajectory to be altered. Weight ports can also be found at the front, back, and heel.

The XF extends the head forward to back. The XF features weight further back and boasts the highest overall MOI on the market, right at the 5900 R&A limit, and over 10,000 MOI when you include the sole to crown MOI. The only driver comparable for forgiveness is the Ping G400 Max, but this features a lower centre of gravity. This driver is very forgiving and spins at a fairly low speed. Hybrids and fairways share the same technology, but are made of steel rather than titanium. The fairway head is a touch on the small side, but is easy to hit, while PXG has hit a home run with their third hybrid in a row. We believe that it is a fantastic combination of head size, shape, adjustability, and ease-of-use.

Verdict

The PXG0811x Gen 2 is an excellent driver. I have already reviewed it twice. The sound quality and feel are excellent. They seem a bit livelier than previous PXG drivers but they still manage to be quiet and strong which is quite impressive. Furthermore, miss-hits feel comfortable and keep the ball moving at a high speed. This crown design, while unique, is not unattractive and does improve the alignment of your fairway. Personally, I’m not a fan of the X alignment, but I know other golfers will like it. PXG might offer no alignment aid and it would be a good idea. Adjustable hosel can lower the flight and the spin rate was affected by playing around with the weights. The heel setting was not tested as I have trouble with the ball leaving. This wasn’t the driver I was going to be with but it had ball speeds comparable with top-rated drivers for the year and spins rates that weren’t too high. I’ve not ended up in this driver, but I was close and it would have been my second choice. PXG has a leather headcover that is great for finishing touches. Even though the price may not be as high, it makes PXG stand apart. The cost of a driver with PXG will no longer matter if they’re the right one for you. This obstacle has been eliminated.

Review Pxg 0811X Golf Driver (2021).

The PXG 0811X golf driver is the best on the market for hitting longer, straighter, and more forgiving golf shots. However, it is the most expensive driver on the market so be prepared to spend a bit more to get this performance enhancement.

Many golfers who tested the PXG 0811X realized that this driver produces low spin and lower quality shots. You won’t have to worry about losing shots high and to the right with this driver’s consistent boring low ball flight.

The driver is adjustable and can be set to the setting you prefer by manipulating the weights and the hosel.

Let’s look into the PXG0811X, Golf Driver review. Please share any details you have about this product before making your purchase decision.

Do Pxg Drivers Really Work?

You will find that the driver 0211 is very stable, with plenty of speed on the left and right thanks to both the titanium face, Hybrid Crown Constructions, and high MOI. It is an extremely stable driver. The ball speeds were consistent when I held the ball close to my face. The straightness of the 0211 also highlights this stability. Jan 25, 2021
