Taylormade M2 Driver Review 2021

TaylorMade M2 Driver reviews will show you the pros and cons of this model so that you are able to decide for yourself if this is the right one.

Geocoustic Tech was introduced to TaylorMade M2 Driver. The sole’s appearance and sound were changed, and so the feel. This Driver has what TaylorMade calls explosive sound. (they aren’t kidding!)

M2 DRIVER Taylormade

The M2 driver brings golfers a level of distance and forgiveness through GeocousticTM technology. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the M2 driver successfully raises the bar in design and engineering through reinvented multi-material construction and advanced geometric shaping.

To maximize performance and forgiveness the Center of Gravity should be fixed at low elevation.

The M2 Driver comes with some adjustability although not nearly as much as previous models.

Speed Pocket technology, which is included in the club, was further developed to improve forgiveness

      Player Handicap

The M2 is not for scratch players. It was made to be used by golfers who are more concerned with forgiveness than playingability.

If you are looking to work the ball and create intentional fades and draws off of every tee box, this may not be the driver for you. This 2017 Taylormade M2 is perfect for the mid to high handicap golfer.

It does not include a Loft Sleeve, as was the case with previous TaylorMade designs.

TaylorMade also made other clubs, which allows you to adjust the center-of gravity.

This feature is fantastic. You can change the loft and launch the M2 as you wish. This loft adjustment feature is an excellent option for beginners who want to get better.

As we mentioned earlier in this Driver review, the M2 driver is a few years old. TaylorMade offers it, however the customization options for shafts can sometimes be limited.

There are many shaft options available, and the good news is that they’re all good. Standard equipment includes the Fujikura Pro XL 58 Stiff, Regular and Senior Flex.

      There are other options

TaylorMade TaylorMadeM6The TaylorMadeM6Driver is slightly larger than the standard M2. It is almost equally as forgiving, and the cost of the product was about twice that at the time this review was written.

A TaylorMade Burner Driver older than several years will feel much better with the M2.

If budget is not an issue then certainly the M6 offers the latest and greatest technology. You will also enjoy a better sound with the M6 model

      Sound & Feel

TaylorMade M drivers can be distinguished not only by their adaptability, but also because of this. My 2017 M1 Review can be found here. There is a difference between the two. The M2 feels more solid. While it may have a unique feel, it’s still impressive. The M2 has a ton of response and still feels very powerful on the ball. It will all come down to individual preferences.

As with the feel of the car, the M2 sounds louder. The carbon in the crown prevents the classic driving range cannon sound, but the M2’s sound has a bit of pop to it. The result is a clear shot from the face that sounds solidly pounded down range.

Taylormade M2 Driver: An Honest Review

Although I wasn’t always a fan of Taylormade clubs, I was very excited to see the M series driver. Here’s a review of the Taylormade driver M2 and a discussion about its worthiness.

M2 drivers were easier for me to hit than M1. I enjoyed the M2 more than M1. This driver can be used by golfers that need extra distance or forgiveness. It was very responsive and gave me good distance. I also found it to be more accommodating on hits off the center. Only problem is that this driver, which was only a few years old, still costs a lot. This would make a fantastic driver for recreational golfers

      Performance

The TaylorMade M2 drivers review is simple and most players enjoy it. There is no adjustable option other than the 12-settings sleeve. The best outcome is important to many players, however they do not want excessive equipment. Recent experience has shown that the M2 driver performs admirably. M2 is not a simple product. M2’s tough, unforgiving design is obvious after its release.

This model has significant improvements regarding ball speed and overall distance. The 2017 M1 driver is less patient than the 2016 M2, who was highly praised for its great forgiveness. Although it has made great strides in the past few years, it still falls short of the M2

Does The Taylormade M2 driver work?

For those that tend to leak drives, or hit the wrong button on the M2 D-Type, the sound and feel of the M2 D Type is good. The 2017 M2 D-Type driver, which is an improved version of its predecessor, has a price tag of around PS110. This allows you to have the look and performance of an M1 without the compromise of PS110.

Does The Taylormade-M2 Driver Work Well for Beginners?

Now, the TaylorMadeM2 is just a little cheaper to purchase. Its unique combination of price, power, and forgiveness have pushed it to fifth. This driver targets a novice, competent driver who is working toward a 20-handicap. This driver offers excellent forgiveness and a lower, more powerful ball flight that others reviewed.

Which M2 Driver Do You Choose?

Fujikura XLR8 Pro 51 has the perfect shaft for TaylorMade’s M2 Driver. It is ideal for a high launch and mid to high spin. The shaft upgrade is available if the shaft was not purchased previously by Fujikura for its kick.
